Meaning “a distant recollection,” Tsuioku draws from the landscapes surrounding Saitozaki, a quiet peninsula in Fukuoka bordered by sea and mountains. Built from field recordings, cassette textures, analog synthesis, guitar, strings, and voice, the album unfolds through gentle shifts of atmosphere and memory, where sounds drift between clarity and dissolution.
Working with mini synthesizers, effect pedals, and small hand-built setups, Nakamura shapes compositions through repetition, variation, and attentive listening. Imperfections and tape-worn textures are carried forward naturally, forming a warm lo-fi sensibility that has quietly resonated with listeners around the world.
Known for his work as composer and sound designer for titles such as Steins;Gate Elite and the Yuru Camp△ series, Nakamura opens a more personal space within Tokyo Bedroom Orchestra, where texture and emotion move freely between ambient, folk, and pastoral forms.
Tsuioku will be released on 10 July 2026 via KITCHEN. LABEL on CD, cassette, and digital formats. The album is mastered by Gen Tanabe.
The singles, Shikijitsu and Yoko, are now available to stream.
