Limited edition of 250 LP
Mexican composer, producer, and sound designer Carlos Metta works across experimental music, sound art, and multimedia, combining field recordings, homemade acoustic instruments, synthesizers, and instruments from diverse musical traditions. His work spans sound installations, dance, audiovisual projects, and has shared the stage with artists including John Zorn, Cyro Baptista, and Patrick Watson, performing at venues and museums internationally.
His forthcoming album on Static Discos in early 2027, The Pedagogy of the Sun, grew out of a Fall 2022 residency at Pioneer Works in New York. The album explores the tension between the raw intensity of metallic sounds and the soft, luminous textures of experimental ambient music.
