Spain's CIËLO return with their 1st full length, after two EP's on Elefant Records and a featured track on Japan's Beikoku Ongaku magazine. "Un amor mató al futuro" is a continuation of their EP's on Elefant, a mix of techno pop and 21st century digital splicing, bringing to mind Spain's wondrous movida madrileña groups of the early 80's (Aviador Dro, La Mode and Alaska), the new romantic sound of early O.M.D. and Tubeway Army and later Spanish pop acts such as Family, Gasca and Dar Ful Ful. Still, CIËLO come on their own with an album full of mature pop songs filled with unforgettable melodies, clicks, slick vocal production and new wave attitude.
