The album is the result of Niels locking himself in a three square meter room in the basement of his parents’ house one winter. The winters in Sweden can be pretty claustrophobic. Niels describes his life at the time as claustrophobic, and he needed to dig deep to find a way to sort it out. “Welcome…” was his way to describe himself to himself.
