Release date: November 11, 2026
Limited Edition of 100 2xCD housed in a handcrafted package that includes an outstanding and unreleased 1983 photo by Alison Braun, some spray paint and a few hours of tedious manual work!
Darla and Modern City are bringing you a complete chronological collection of everything
M.I.A. recorded and/or released throughout the 80s, as re-issued by both labels over the
past decade.
In 2017, Darla Records reissued the band’s last two records, Notes From the Underground
(1985) and After the Fact (1987) on CD. Modern City picked up the ball in 2023 and started
re-issueing the band’s entire catalog on vinyl, including the seminal Murder In a Foreign
Place album (1984), in conjunction with Alternative Tentacles.
This double CD set includes:
- Tracks from the Last Rites for Genocide and M.I.A. LP (Smoke Seven 1982) and the Not
so Quiet on the Western Front compilation LP (Alternative Tentacles 1982), as released
on We Must Fight! (Modern City 2025)

Anniversary Edition (Alternative Tentacles / Modern City 2024)
