Vancouver Dream-pop/shoegaze trio Bloom Effect release their debut six-song EP, Oscilón, via Vancouver label Kingfisher Bluez. The EP was recorded live at Rain City Recorders in Vancouver and mixed/mastered by Stu McKillop, who captured the band’s raw, immersive sound. Formed by Argentine-born Jula Lafit (vocals/bass), UK-born Craig Weighman (guitar), and drummer Tom Rappa, Bloom Effect create fuzz-washed soundscapes influenced by groups like Cocteau Twins, Alvvays, and Ringo Deathstarr. Oscilón sees bloom effect blending english and spanish lyrics into their own style of reverb-drenched dream-pop.
