Just two years ago, “Un Año De Cambios” was released, an album that showed the effort of a band trying to rebuild itself after a lineup change; a moment that coincided with personal and creative growth. Yet, barely a year later, the house of cards collapsed again with Paula's departure. But Míriam is once again arming herself with ideas, surrounding herself with great musicians, and proving that she is a prolific artist. In just a few months, she has released a series of singles heralding the arrival of “Desde Cuándo Todo”, an album that confirms her status as a personal creator who focuses on the themes that fascinate her: change, loss, the city, regaining enthusiasm, and enjoying the present moment. These are familiar themes, and the songs serve many purposes, from a euphoric Saturday to a rainy Sunday.

And although there is a certain melancholy in some of the songs on the album, such as “Salgo A La Calle”, “Lanzarote”, “Deberíamos Vernos Más”, “Quiero Que Perdamos La Cabeza (Otra Vez)” and “Me Acostumbré”, they still hold that treasure that Míriam always gives us: she is delicate and sweet, yes, but also strong and full of energy. The mid-tempo tracks, in which LISASINSON maintains the melodic power and intensity at bpms less common in their discography, also make this clear: “Desde Cuándo”, “Lanzarote” and “Me Acostumbré”. Because she now has three albums under her belt, and creative maturity suits her wonderfully well. She also continues to maintain that immediacy, continuing to produce those urgent and well-rounded hits such as “Decidí Desaparecer”, “Si Me Pierdo” and “No Quiero Envejecer”.

Her most well-rounded album to date is marked by doubts, accidents, and obstacles along the way. Borrowing its title from “(h)amor 9 amigas” (a collective book by several female authors celebrating friendship in its many forms) and a cover inspired by John Everett Millais' “Ophelia”, designed by Alfonso, this album reflects Míriam's special relationship with music: one of total devotion and simultaneous exhaustion. A toxic relationship, perhaps? The intensity of her journey and the responsibilities she has taken on may help to understand the context of this album, full of rough edges and nooks and crannies where small pains hide, yet transparent like the tears constantly evoked in her songs, which inevitably heal.

On this journey, she has been accompanied and inspired by the lyrics of Cris Lizarraga, Beatriz Serrano, Anna Pacheco, Marina Garcés, Emily Austin, Lucía Lijtmaer, and Raquel Congosto. The question that defines the album and gives it its title expresses the impossibility of grasping everything that happens to us, of understanding it, of processing it, and how songs, books, films, and people help us learn to live with it.
