Ignacio Chávez, a resident of Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico and now based in the city of Los Angeles, CA, is the mind behind SUBXET. His debut studio album, Indigo System, is a stunning compilation of eight tracks of futuristic and expansive electronic music that blends elements of funk and jazz in a unique and masterful way, all while remaining authentically mechanical and natural. Chávez's mastery of melodies, textures, and instruments is evident throughout the album, as he creates angular and forested musical paths that possess a surgical yet playful structural logic. The sound narrative of SUBXET is a direct reflection of an artist in full control of his craft, delivering a strikingly confident and certain musical expression. From the intelligent electronics of 'Blastoise' to the haunting beauty of 'Giraki Garden' and the rhythmic puzzle of 'Noise Akimbo', Indigo System offers a colorful listening experience for the listener. The album, produced for Facade Electronics, will have a limited edition of only 100 vinyl units, and has been mastered at Sentrall Sound in L.A. by Anthony Puglisi. Artwork created by Ignacio himself and Rubén A. Tamayo, also known as Fax.
