Clairecords is incredibly excited to announce the first-ever vinyl release of the debut EP by The Daysleepers! Initially released in December 2005, the self-released 5 track EP captured the attention of shoegaze fans around the world, including noted celebrities of the genre such as Ulrich Schnauss and members of Slowdive and Cocteau Twins.

Out of print for many, many years, this limited edition pressing of 500 copies will bring the EP's original 5 tracks to the vinyl format for the first time, as well as the addition of two bonus tracks never-before-available on any physical format. The resultant 34+ minutes of blissful dreampop is just the tip of the iceberg: this release kicks off a string of vinyl reissues for The Daysleepers' material, to be followed by The Soft Attack EP and culminating in the 10 year anniversary vinyl release of the debut album Drowned in A Sea of Sound, all first-time-vinyl issues in limited edition pressings.

"Threnody" the opening track starts very minimal and builds to a giant crescendo of gorgeous alien sounds. "Mesmerize" recalls the light and beautiful sound of The Cocteau Twins in their prime. "Stars on Fire" a nine minute wash of drifting lazy guitars, and reverbed vocals take us back to The Cure's "Disintegration" album. "Loved By The Sun" shows a dark droning side of the band, leading into very dark, ethereal

soundscapes. "Big Sleep" the final track, is a pretty song that boasts the most beautiful vocals on the E.P. Shoegazers do not miss out on this classic addition to the genre! Keep on dreaming....
