Mus’ acclaimed debut album Fai on Spanish label Acualrela followed two EPs and sold out very quickly. US distributor Darla only had stock for four months before the pressing of 1000 was gone.

On the EPs and on Fai Mus tested the waters of trip-pop and electronica. They recorded at home but were in no way lo-fi. Their influences included John Barry´s soundtracks, Bossa, Stereolab, Spiritualized and French Chanson. The folks from Melankolic (Daddy G from Massive Attack especially) loved this 1999 release.

Since then Mus has become more rock guitar, bass & drums oriented with the release of 2003’s El Naval and the brand new record Divina Lluz. On Fai Mus may be closer to Massive Attack than Hope Sandoval and Low but the trademark Mus melancoly is just as present. No one has ever sounded so gloriously dark. Fai also provides the novelty of a shy Nacho Vegas singing a love song with Monica Vacas. Nacho is one of Spain’s best known rockers.
